Who's informing you?

Part of my life goal is to teach people how to look a subject from another point of view. It's important to follow advice from the right places, and look at it from your opponent's perspective. Without knowing the other side of the story, you'll never fully understand the subject--whether it's democrats vs. republicans, Eastern cultures vs. Western Cultures, vegans vs. fast food junkies, vintage vs. designer, Hatfield vs. McCoy's. Everyone has a reason. Learn it, even if you don't want to!

Aljazeera is a controversial news source that is breaking barriers when it comes to news media. (actually, it's only controversial in America. We are the ONLY country where they are not allowed to broadcast it by government laws)One of my favorite professors introduced it to our class, and it's been my addiction ever since. It may not be your every day news, but this is reality from an Middle Eastern view. Now I'm not saying I'm an expert on news sources, but I know it's never too late to start reading. Better start now.

Today will be a good day.

I don't care if you think this is cheesy.

The Marines are trained using the mindset "PMA" while in combat. It's more than a phrase, it means Positive Mental Attitude.

Positive self talk is crucial for anyone who wants to feel a sense of accomplishment. It takes self discipline to wake up and say to yourself "I'm going to have an exciting day--no matter what happens."

Try this and make sure to speak positively all day long. Take any task that has been daunting you, such as deep cleaning your bathroom tub or starting that research paper you've been putting off--and tell yourself it's your absolute favorite activity. Turn the negatives into positives, the dull into bright, the defeat into victory.

New Roomate! Thank's Jill!

My new roomate, Jill Ashley is a BFA student at FSU. She's so talented, and loves decorating and installations. Thanks to her, she organized the back shelves--which haven't been done since I've moved in. LOVE IT!
